Karastan's Antique Legends ‘Bakhtiyari’ pattern is a 21st century composition, takinginspiration from Bakhtiyari village weaving which dates back to the 19th century. The intricacy of the pattern details are mesmerizing, with small rectangular compartments covering the whole center of the rug, each filled with stylized floral motifs. Often, these are combined with ‘niche’ and ‘tree of life’ motifs frequently found in prayer rugs.
