Woven in India, this rug uses a treditional Persian motif known as Mahal. Done in the early 2000s, the look, style and color of this rug were done to replicate a style of Afghni rug known as Chobi. Making this an Indian rug, using Afghani Colors and weaving styles, and Persian motifs. Confusing, but still, very nice.
